We kick started the song with a phone call and at around the 3 minute mark you can see the first ever iPhone guitar solo performed on stage at a major European festival! We’ve also uploaded a video of just the iPhone solo, if you want to share it with friends:

We thought that this gig deserved a little something special so we put our thinking caps on – opening act…. Vodafone stage…. Oxegen 2010…. and then it hit us:

We’re going to do the first ever song performed with iPhones, live on stage at a major European festival! We’re still working out the finer details (and convincing people we’re not completely insane!), but so far we’ve managed to hook up this awesome looking iPhone/Guitar!

If you’re at Oxegen, we’ll be on stage at 3pm on Friday, so come check it out! We’ll be uploading videos from the gig as soon as we can so be sure to sign up here and we’ll let you know when they’re available to watch.

We had great fun, a 10 minute interview talking about the being the opening act for Oxegen 2009 (with the Artane Band), and somehow the topic of Lady Gaga going commando at Glastonbury came up too!

We did an acoustic version of Rise for the first time and got some great responses from people texting into the show.
